ORI Artisan works at the intersection of traditional knowledge, natural processes, and modern design sensibilities, creating textiles that are thoughtful, process-led, and rooted in living traditions.
Based between Singapore and India, the studio is dedicated to the research, revival, and reinterpretation of living heritage crafts. The practice focuses on hand block printing, natural dyeing, indigo resist and traditional weaving techniques. We work with master artisans and craft clusters in India engaging with generational knowledge systems and region-specific textile vocabularies.
We offer limited-edition collections for home décor, furnishings, apparel and textile accessories. Our materials include natural fibers and their blends with organic & Kala cotton such as bamboo, banana, Eri silk, and handloom fabrics. Our dyeing processes are natural plant and mineral-based following the slow chemistry of mordants, tannins, fermentation, and resist methods.
